Primary Schools Activities

Throughout this course of study, students participate in, and advocate for, the activities within their territories, engaging in two peer-to-peer workshops with primary school students in their respective municipalities; by creating a Local Communication Campaign, geared at schools and citizens to fight food waste and to campaign for responsible consumption and the right to food .

Referring to peer to peer, this activity will be processed on the second year of project; 5 primary schools belonging to the partners territories have been identified and included into project, with exception of Co-applicant (8) ACR+ which works with only 2 schools.

The aim of this activity is to spread the themes of food waste, personal responsible behaviours and their direct impact on global level among children (9/11 years old). Under the support of experts and teachers, a selection of secondary schools students, who particularly involved themselves in the educational activities of the previous year, lead this action. The selected students (average 5) are trained in two workshops on the peer to peer approach; afterwards, they realize 2 educative workshops targeting about 40 children per primary school with the support of Thematic Expert Team and teachers. Specific informative material, tailor made on the age of audience, has been designed and produced by experts, teachers and students. All material produced will be stored, disseminate and made available to further beneficiaries.
